Why This Name?

I've come to love the ministry of people like John Piper at DesiringGOD.org. I think these people have hit the right balance between orthodoxy (right belief, glory in the right place) and passion (affections, emotions, loves). Many people talk about "cold orthodoxy" versus passionate emotion. But the Bible simply puts the two together. My term for that is "hot orthodoxy," and that's what I want to promote: heat and light, not just sound and fury.

I am amazed by the wide divide between those who appreciate John Piper & Desiring God - and those who don't.
