Is there a difference between motive and vision? I would think your motives should stay constant, no matter where you are. But can God guide through vision, in other words, by giving you a clear sense of what He wants doen in a place, or, withdrawing it as a way of letting us know we're wrapping up what He sent us to do and it's time to go somewhere new?
I wouldn't make my decision based solely my impressions of whether I've still got vision or not, but that would be one key factor in making a wise, God-led choice.
The point of Addington's post is that we often have the wrong motives for ministry--selfish ones. That's what really hit me.

Sure, I think so.

Frankly, I'm in the ministry for the donuts.
Donuts?!
You get donuts?
I've been missing out...
