Dorothy Nevill on Gossip

Matt---Happy New Year to you and yours. Today, on Front Poarch Republic, Andy Harvey, Eng Prof at Grove City, posted an article entitled "Glen Beck Meets Front Porch Linguistics" in which AH takes on GB on the etymology of "gossip". It is a good read concening the fundamentalist and relativist use of English grammer.

Bill,

Happy New Year to you, too, and thanks for the heads-up on the Andy Harvey article.

Aren't linguistics fun?!

Of course, the phenomenon of "gossip" exists long before the English word did, too. That's the linguistic work that I'm trying to do right now in the OT/NT for my project.
