Hitting the Newstands

Just got back from the EFCA National Leadership Conference in Pittsburgh. It was a pretty good conference (see Byron Harvey's reviews of the conference over at a ticking time blog 1 and 2 and 3). I especially enjoyed the lectures on biblical theology from D.A. Carson. The way that he was teaching us to "unpack" the use of the Old Testament in the book of Hebrews was almost absolutely impeccable and positively refreshing.

At the conference, we received the latest issue of EFCA Today. It contains two articles that I've written. The first is about using the EFCA National Conference back home in the local church. It's called Taking the Treasure Home and is found on pg. 9 (second page of the linked article). I hope it helps someone.

The second article is a review of Stop Dating the Church! (pg. 23, fourth page of the linked article) by Joshua Harris. We're using this valuable book in our Summer Book Club at church this year. I highly recommend it.
