Reformation21

The Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals has recently reconfigured their membership and structure and launched a new online magazine called Reformation21.

The Alliance is a group of leading pastor-theologians including many of my "mentors" (via books and recordings) such as John Piper, CJ Mahaney, DA Carson, Mark Dever, Al Mohler, and a host of others (I often call ACE the Justice League of America for Evangelicalism!).

The editor says this about Ref21: "As an e-zine (a web-based magazine, or webzine), Reformation 21 enables us to do things that a conventional magazine cannot. In particular, it provides an opportunity to include both audio and video content, a feature that we are hoping to develop very shortly. We will be providing a daily blog where some of our Alliance staff will comment on matters of interest to us as evangelicals. Our goal for Reformation 21 is for it to become a “go to” place for pastors and intelligent laypeople. Our aim is to encourage biblical thinking, living, worship and ministry, as well as constructive, faithful cultural engagement. The tone of Reformation 21 will be positive and pastoral. We will pitch it towards intelligent laypeople, though we will often engage cutting-edge subject matter, and hope thereby to help pastors with addressing their congregations on these issues."

The theme of the first issue is the so-called New Perspective on Paul. It's not the first word or the last, but I think it's a very helpful word about the present state of Pauline studies.

The Ref21Blog features a number of intelligent writers (including ACE president Ligon Duncan). My favorite blogger Justin Taylor shows up frequently.

It's definitely become a "go to" place for me already. Check it out.
