Heating with Wood

The big, untold story at our place has been the preparations for and installation of an outdoor wood-burning furnace.

This is Peter inside the little "house" we've made with the firewood we've cut, split, and stacked.

We borrowed a friend's splitter, though we've done some by hand with a maul, too.

Drewby at a quiet moment on top of the stack. This stack is now mostly gone, burnt inside of the furnace.

Here's the man who made it all happen. My father-in-law, John Lundeen, attacked with gusto the tri-axle load of wood that we had delivered. He ran a chainsaw several days in a row. Beware! You lose weight when you come to visit us!
